Children's Law
The Children's Law Team specialises in all areas of the law relating to children including:
- Care proceedings
- Issues with Social Services
- Adoption
- Special Guardianship Orders
- Contact and Residence issues
- Parental Responsibility
The Team consists of specialist Practitioners who provide a professional and practical advice in a sympathetic manner in this often difficult and sensitive area of the law.
Members of the Team are accredited by the specialist Law Society Children's Panel and regularly represent children, parents and other family members in Court proceedings.
We appreciate that these are difficult and sensitive issues and provide a friendly and approachable service. We are happy to visit the clients at their homes or arrange transport if they are unable to get to the offices. We are happy to attend meetings in Social Services' departments or other professional agencies which we appreciate can be daunting for clients.
The Team also has links with many local agencies who can often assist clients e.g. Women's Aid, Sure Start, Home Start, Rayner, Citizen's Advice Bureau, Addaction and Shelter.
