The Society runs one of the biggest and most successful one day agricultural shows in the region on its own 28 acre showground at Tockwith, between York and Weatherby. Roger took over from local farmer, Edward Alton. Roger is also the Society's honorary legal advisor and said "It really is an honour to be elected as President of the Society in its 65th year and I look forward to presiding over what will be another great year for the show and all its supporters."
