Within Commercial property: North and East Yorkshire, Langleys is a second tier firm.

Langleys’ practice is headed by Tim Cross, who joined the firm in 2010 from Lupton Fawcett LLP. Recent work includes advising York St John University on a development agreement and lease concerning a student residential scheme.

Within Commercial property: Elsewhere in the East Midlands, Langleys is a third tier firm.

Langleys continues to advise on local acquisitions and sales of land for development, including funding matters.
 

The Legal 500, 2010

A high proportion of Langleys' real estate instructions relate to development projects, the remainder being invesment, landlord and tenant, and secured lending.  

Langleys' three-partner commercial property group advised York St John University on a development agreement. The practice is on panels for Yorkshire Bank, Lloyds TSB, Handlesbanken and RBS.

Langleys recently advised William Birch & Sons on the sale of part of its Bradley Business Park in Huddersfield, for the sum of £7.4 million. Sources say: "We have had an exemplary service from Langleys, and I feel reassured that we can draw on their expertise when we need them."

Tim Cross heads the real estate group.

The team recently advised the University of Lincoln on issues surrounding its acquisition of long-leasehold interest.
