Lincoln and York based law firm Langleys is holding seminars which will cover all aspects of social media and its relevance to the workplace.
Kate Hindmarch, partner and employment solicitor at Langleys’ Lincoln office, will be speaking at the Lincoln seminar. She will examine the advantages and disadvantages of employees using social networking websites and will give delegates an insight into whether they should be embracing social media or tightly controlling its use.
Kate said: “In an ever changing technological landscape the rise and popularity of social networking cannot be ignored by employers. Social media is an important business tool when used in the correct way; however it can also be distracting for employees and potentially dangerous for employers.
“We’ll discuss the positive and negative impacts social media has on the workplace and how employers and HR professionals can control the use of social media whilst embracing its relevance to modern business life.”
The seminars will take place in York on 15th September and in Lincoln on 22nd September for more information or to book your free place click
