Tim Cross, partner and head of Real Estate for the firm, will be discussing how development land value can be eroded or eliminated by a village greens application by local residents and how to avoid this happening.
Tim said: “There have been significant changes to the commercial property and development markets over recent months and with the current economic climate, this state of uncertainty is likely to continue. Developers who land bank development sites for economic reasons need to be particularly careful to avoid losing value in such sites by allowing them to become subject to public rights.
“We’re aiming to provide some clarity to the situation and help businesses to understand how commercial development opportunities are being affected.”
The Lincolnshire Property and Business Investment Show takes place on Wednesday 30 March 2011 at the Events Centre at Lincolnshire Showground and is free to attend. Langleys’ presentation will commence at 11.40am.
