Langleys welcomes a new partner to its employment law team with the addition of solicitor Stephen Elliott.

Stephen has over twelve years’ experience, beginning his training with Punch Robson in Middlesbrough before moving to Ward Hadaway, where he became partner.

His expertise includes representation at Employment Tribunals, providing strategic advice on the employment aspects of complex corporate transactions and TUPE, and the negotiation of exit/compensation packages. He also advises on data protection matters and delivers training on employment law issues.

Stephen said: “It’s a very exciting time to join Langleys, which is one of the most renowned firms in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire for delivering such breadth and depth of legal expertise.”

Stephen is also a contributor to the publication ‘Sinclair on Warranties and Indemnities’ - the leading practitioners’ reference work in this area. He is noted in the 2011 Chambers and Partners legal directory as someone who “provides an ‘assured and level-headed service’ on a range of employment matters.”

David Thompson, Langleys’ Managing Partner, said: "Employment law is one area that faces growing demand in the current economic climate. Stephen brings to Langleys his specialist experience of helping businesses and senior executives with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.”
