This is the second helicopter contract between the Trust and Medical Aviation Services Ltd, the helicopter supplier, which Langleys has advised upon. James Towler created the ten year contract which managed the Trust’s previous air ambulance.
This contract has now become the template contract for several air ambulance trusts across the UK.
James said: “The Trust came back to us looking for a similar contract which enabled the previous helicopter to stay airborne from 2000 until the present day. The contract is a necessity for the Trust and the trustees, allowing the air ambulance team to carry out their vital work in the region for the next ten years.”
Chief executive of the air ambulance Peter Aldrick said: "We're looking forward to another ten years with this helicopter, as we did with the last one, thanks largely to Langleys’ excellent negotiation skills and understanding of the issues we can face.

"It is vital that for an area as large as Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire we can provide a dedicated helicopter service. The new helicopter has allowed us to assist the region with new and improved equipment which will hugely benefit the patients we carry.”
