Following a busy and successful year working within the employment team, Danielle Harwood qualified as a solicitor in September 2009 and Faith Williams joins the team as a trainee solicitor. Due to the volume of work and the successes of the team Katherine Sinclair joins the firm as a newly qualified solicitor from Eversheds in Leeds. The team now has seven full time specialist employment advisers led by Kate Hindmarch, Lincolnshire Echo’s Business Person of the Year.
Kate Hindmarch, Head of the Employment Unit at Langleys, comments: “We are delighted to be in a position to respond to the ever increasing demand for employment law advice by retaining the services of three more employment experts. This recent expansion provides us with an opportunity to strengthen our Employment Unit which is performing very well and has a strong reputation across the region.”
The Employment Unit is led by Kate Hindmarch who has recently been appointed as an Employment Tribunal Judge. Her role will cover the Birmingham area and she will carry this out on a part-time basis, whilst continuing to focus on her role as partner and unit head at the firm.
Kate continues: “This appointment is a new and exciting challenge allowing me to gain a new perspective on the judicial process. This in turn will enable me to advise my current clients with this valuable insight in mind.”
The expansion news comes at the same time as the welcome announcement that Kate Hindmarch and Nick Sheppard, the partners in the Employment Unit, have been named “leaders in their field” by Chambers & Partners Legal Directory 2010.
