Following a busy and successful year, Laura Sargeant and Anna Mosey both qualify as Solicitors in September 2009 and Anna Sutcliffe and Kim Denton are appointed as Trainee Legal Executives. The York team now has nine full time specialist family and children legal advisors and, as one of the few in the region which retains its Legal Aid franchise, has built a strong reputation in the area and nationally.
The Lincoln arm of the Family and Children Law unit has also just announced that two of its Solicitors, Colette Short and Elizabeth Morris, have been promoted to Associate Soicitors. Other promotions have also been made across the firm with insurance specialist Will Jones being promoted to Partner and medical law specialist Andrew Cragg bring promoted to Associate Solicitor.
Mark Day, who heads the Family and Children Law Unit in York, specialises in financially complex and extensive divorces. He is a fully qualified Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer, as well as being a Solicitor. He says: "We pride ourselves on offering a quality, sympathetic and non-confrontational approach as well as a comprehensive and expert service in all manner of family law issues, which has been strengthened further by the addition of the new recruits. We now have specialists in all aspects of law relating to children, domestic abuse, co-habitation, pre-marital agreements and the financial aspects of separation."
